This place was fantastic! We just moved to Tracy and they were so welcoming! The BEST chow mien I've had in years! They are also so accommodating!

Visiting from Dallas, first time here and it was a 10/10! Our server was Will, super kind and friendly kid, good recommendations. The owner Cindy came by to check up on us multiple times, made us feel very welcome. Salmon belly and hamachi here melt in your mouth. Presentation, quality of the fish wow! 8 ordered of the sake sashimi alone. Highly recommend this place.

Okay, for the many years that I've lived in this town, this spot has never peaked my interest. But I had to live my own words amd try something different. I don't know.wjy, but I always try places that the location isn't ideal so to speak. We'll I told myself, I'm hitting the gym and then coming here for my post workout meal, and that's exactly what I did. Upon arrival, I initially thought they were closed, because looking from the outside no one else was inside and I almost turned around and left. But there was this man sitting in his car on the phone, and says they're open. So I stepped in and was greeted with a warm smile and was immediately seated. I was the only one there. I thought okay...this place is empty. As soon as I placed my order the gentleman from the car walks in, he's seved what he had ordered earlier and it looked delicious. Then it seemed like the place was packed I guess because everyone just seemed to decend upon this place all at once. Noylt a bad thing, but they don't have bento box, so I ordered a teriyaki chicken with white rice and veggies plate and a side of shrimp and vegetable tempura. To drink, I had a honey green tea, which was absolutely refreshing! Everything was very well prepared and delicious so much that I'm gonna be a regular at Satomi for now on.

Love! Love! Love! This place has quality food, fair pricing and one of a kind service. This is a family ran business and they are wonderful people. The vibe here is homely and welcoming. Try the chow mein!! It is our family favorite. My kids cannot get enough.

Came for a business lunch, positive feedback from the 3 of us. It's not fancy, but it is clean, and they have a variety of options on their menu whether you do sushi or prefer cooked items. Our server gave great suggestions based on what we were wanting to try. I had the sashimi Salad and the agedashi tofu. Everything was good, and my coworker had one of the rolls, and she said it was good too. Next time I'm in town, I would love to try a few other things on the menu.

After hitting the gym, we didn't wanna "ruin" our workout with unhealthy food so Hubby was craving poke, and it was build-your-own. It was super hot this day so poke was a good idea!! We debated about whether to dine-in or take-out but quickly realized it was warm inside and didn't feel that the AC was on. :( so we got our food to-go. Food was fresh and yummy. I got salad as my base so I felt like that made my dish feel light. I should've gotten a 2nd protein. The owners were friendly, and the girl taking orders was kind and answered my poke questions. The only thing was when we got our food, hubby asked her for some chopsticks. We actually prefer to eat our Asian meals w/chopsticks. But she pushed back and said she had already put forks in our bag. but that's not what he asked. lol. So hubby asked her again for chopsticks and she gave us a couple. We also asked for a side of chili oil and it was a very good addition to our poke.

I ordered to go, and service was quick! Staff were friendly. I ordered the Cindy Inferno appetizer, gates of hell roll and the island roll. Rolls were a good size and well priced for what you received. The Cindy inferno was delicious! A little soggy by the time i got home, but still flavor was well balanced and good. Gates of hell roll was good, felt it could have been a little spicer especially based on the name. It just felt it was missing something to the flavoring. Island roll was good, but not sure if I would order again as I'm not sure how i felt about the flavor pairing. Overall a good experience, still not the best sushi I've had but hood for tracy. i'd probably would come back.

I was craving salmon bento box so I decided on Satomi's salmon teriyaki plate. I wished there was salad and soup that came with it. The veggies were steamed without seasoning. I must compliment the chef. I haven't had salmon with perfect texture in a while.

What I like about Satomi is the fresh, consistent food. The service is always friendly, too. Sushi is a treat meal so when it's time to treat myself I find a way here. I'm not super adventurous when it comes to fish and I'm glad there are plenty of options to choose from. The location is in a bit of a busy area. But walk inside and you'll be greeted kindly and seated right away. I don't see more than a small handful of other seated people at a time. Lots of to-go orders though. There's a TV playing on the far end of the restaurant and it's a dark colored theme inside. What I think is the sweetest touch though are the family photos taped to the wall just behind the cashier counter. They are posted there with so much pride. It's very heartwarming.
